All South Trails were groomed Friday night and are in pretty great condition. North Trails aren’t freshly groomed due to more open/melted sections – so ski them at your own risk.

Skate trail was tidied up today. Classic tracks are still holding out well from the last groom. Should be another great extended-ski-season weekend ahead!

All trails have been groomed for skate and classic, except for the North 5. The first and last portions that are shared with the North 2.5 are classic tracked, but it’s skate only across the creek.

South Loop groomed tonight for both skate and classic. Will groom North Saturday morning

North and South Trails groomed this morning. Both skate and classic all around. Great conditions for this warmer weather!

South trails are now groomed for both skate and classic. North trails are groomed for skate only.

North trails are now groomed – skate & classic side-by-side. Going to be a gorgeous day out here today.

South trails are freshly groomed as of Saturday evening. Will groom the North in the AM.

All trails are groomed (both skate and classic) and ready for weekend fun! Just a reminder that the south trails will be closed from 12-2:30pm on Saturday for the Birch Open Skate Race.

We’re hosting the Birch Open MB Cup skate race on Saturday. The South trails will be closed from noon until about 2:30 for this event. The North trails will be open for recreational skiers.

South Loop will be closed from 1-2pm today for the second of the Canada Winter Games – Selection Races. South Loop is in great shape for both classic and skate. North Loops are groomed for skate only.

A few days of packing and grooming mean that our south loop is in really good shape, and the shorter North 2.5, as well. The longer North 5 is not open yet. There’s a race on Sunday from 1-2pm, but other than that, if the roads are good, come out for a ski at Birch!

Thanks to this currently occurring snowfall, Ski Birch will be opening for the season on Saturday, Dec. 17th. We are hosting the Provincial Team’s Canada Winter Games Selection Races from 1-2:30 on Saturday, and from 11 – 12:30 on Sunday, so the South Loop will be closed to recreational skiers during those times.
