We classic skied Aspen and Lime Kiln starting at 9:30 am Sunday morning. Both were a mix of icy/fast where double polling was the name of the game, and lightly dusted new snow. There were still many areas where we could still classic ski well with blue kick wax applied, especially on the extra loop of Lime Kiln. Unfortunately, some inconsiderate on a horse severely damaged a section of LK just past the warming shack, though it was still passable.
There were a few burn throughs on both trails, but nothing we couldn’t side step by jumping over to the other track.
We also skied Aspen, Esker and Chickadee on Saturday morning. All were in surprisingly good condition.
May be still a few days left if you get out early before the sun and warmth of the day get at the trails.
