Ski’d the Wild Grape and Elm trails today. Thin snow cover as expected, but enough snow. Quite icy.
Would have been excellent conditions if it wasn’t for the fat tire cyclists who appear to be running road rallies on the trail every day. There is even a patch at the back of Elm, the part that runs along the field heading back into the parking are, where there are about 20 yards of what looks to be about 3/4 down gravel on the trail under the snow. Cyclists graveling a low spot that’s accessible by automobile? Don’t know. I hope they are not out there every day on those trails though. Hard to see how we’ll get a classic style trail going good.
