From Darryl Hrechkosy:
Skied all the trails here on February 15. Moderate winds and temperatures around -14 C. Many cars in parking lot. Maple Trail hardly used, tracks decent condition but much debris from heavy winds in tracks. Wild Grape and Elm Trails well used and tracks had the least amount of debris likely owing to it’s popular use. Basswood good condition with the south extension loop having more debris. To note: after windy conditions leaving a lot of debris in tracks it is best not to stride full out and be prepared to compensate with the alternate ski when one grabs on debris. Ski to the conditions and be wary of changing snow and tracks! The river crossings to the Maple and Basswood are the best I’ve seen in quite awhile, likely owing to the high water levels of the river before freeze up. Ski on!
