Birds Hill Park, Saturday afternoon, -8°.
Things haven`t changed much since Wednesday on the trails Anita skied today. (Fairly good track in most places on the Group Use Road’s interior side. Skier-set tracks on classic trails vary from good to not-so-good.) Actually, overall, the tracks might be a better.
I found it difficult to maintain good balance while skating on the Group Use Road today because the middle is too hardpacked (or at least it was at -8°). I tried to stay to the exterior edge, but there’s a secondary skier-set track on that side, which contributes to a very uneven skate surface. I regret not joining Anita on classic skis today.
BTW: There appeared to be an equal number of skate skiers, classic skiers, and walkers on the Group Use Road.
