From Esther MacKinlay:
On Dec 29, we classic skied the Foresters Footsteps trail near Betula Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park. The trail has recently been groomed for classic. The snow cover was a little thin in spots, with some leaves and pine needles on the tracks, but overall it was quite a nice ski through the Canadian shield country. I think there were only two spots where the granite poked through and you had to take your good ski out of the track.
I believe the trail is an approximately 5km loop from the parking lot. It is a nice groomed trail to ski on if you are in that part of the Whiteshell.
