On Saturday, 8 members of the Charleswood Ski Club skied 2 laps or more of the entire Agassiz Provincial Forest trail system. It was a fairly cold day, but calm in the gorgeous forest despite the brisk wind on the highway.
We appreciate the very good track that Carl of the Lac du Bonnet Ski Club set on Thursday. Most of the trail has fairly good snow coverage, but the track is very thin in the most densely forested areas with large coniferous trees overhead. Our ski bases sustained a few minor scratches, probably from gravel or small rocks in those areas.
We enjoyed a great day of skiing on intimate/narrow classic trails in a beautiful forest.
