Skied last weekend, what a lovely set of trails in the woods. Some damage due to humans and deer, but overall in good shape with well defined tracks. If you haven’t been here check it out, great trail system, thanks to the volunteer groomers.

Skied the eastern-ish trails and enjoyed seeing the James Lake Cabin for the first time. I’ve never skied there and the trails were absolutely amazing. Great early season skiing here in Sunday. Thanks to the faithful groomer, Ryan, for putting together a nice circular route connecting trails 5-2-6-7-5. Good base with some rocks, grass and sticks here and there so best to stick with the rock skies.

Nicely skier tracked for classic and pretty fast this morning. Very pleased that walkers have their own pathways and the skier track is mostly free of footprints. Great place for an in-town ski!

Shannondale. WOW
First time at Shannondale, wow I was absolutely blown away. Perfectly groomed, nice topography on the Blue trail. Enjoyed meeting David, such a lovely chat to kick off my ski Get there before the season’s out! It was some of the best skiing that I’ve experienced this season.

Skied Seven Sisters Falls for the first time. It is an absolute gem of a trail system, impeccably groomed, mostly single track. Excellent views of the river. So nice!

Skied Aspen this morning, lots of new snow, ungroomed but skier tracked. Sloppy, slow going and drifted in. I wish they would groom. Really pretty in the woods!

The ski trails from Hugo to the Forks are freshly groomed, all nice and cleaned up after the blizzard. The ice was cleared and zambonied as well! Very impressed!

Skiied the trails this morning and they were in great shape! Very recently groomed and minimal people tracks. It was my first time there, what a gem right here in the city! Thanks to all the groomers and volunteers.

Had a wonderful ski at Bittersweet today, it never disappoints and is truly some of the best skiing in MB. Classic trails were nicely groomed and skate trails were fresh, unskied corduroy. Skiied the Red Trail this morning (everything but the DM loop). It was my first time there time and it’s a lovely, well marked trails system. I would avoid the extension loop, it’s packed down but untracked to the Red Cabin, either manually or groomed, so it was a bit of a slog. Skied this morning, minimal to no walking damage, well-groomed and surprisingly no bare patches given how little snow we have. Very pretty!
