Trails are in very good condition and are very firm with the exception of the Basswood trail which was groomed today so somewhat softer until the tracks set up overnight. Only minor debris (small leaves) are in the tracks.
Did not appear to have been groomed but the skier track was pretty good for a skier track.
Signs of a single walker beside the trail… seemed to have only done the Elm trail though…At least that person stayed on the side but even one walker is bad because that attracts many walkers…..
Wild Grape, Elm and Basswood all very good as reported below. Cottonwood, which doesn’t appear on the map but veers west off Basswood, is also groomed. It’s decent in the woods, but hard drifts have formed wherever it’s slighty more open – including one four foot precipice. Lots of leafy debris, but that’s Beaudry!
Skied Wild Grape and Elm (the main loop) and Basswood (across the river) on Tues 1st. Last week’s groom is still in good shape. However, the wind has left a fair bit of leaf & stick litter in the tracks. Cottonwood was blown out, seemed like no tracks.
I skied the Cottonwood and Basswood trails today, on the north side of the Assiniboine River.
