This report from a friend: Grand Beach has been groomed and was better than expected, still some dirt and tree debris but very skiable, lots of fun. I would say that it’s worth the trip but it would be nice to get more snow.

Fresh clean cold ample snow awaits you at Bittersweet. Awesome skiing. Most trails are in very good condition with only leaves in a few places. The track is wavy and shallow in spots so use extreme caution when descending hills.

Should have posted this earlier but went here on Wednesday to find the trails to be in near perfection (excellent) shape. I found only one small rock in the right track on the way out on the Blue Moon trail and also 2 small ice flows on the return of this same trail. The Club trail was also groomed.

This info from the groomer: Conditions are quite good. We got about 4 cm of snow through the week, so I groomed the south for classic and skate, and the north for skate today. Some Sandilands Forest trails are packed but more snow is needed before they can be groomed (track set).

Conditions are very icy, and some of the snow we packed and groomed has disappeared in the +8 C temperatures. The only snow this week was a dusting of snow yesterday, but it wasn’t enough to make the trails less treacherous. I’d postpone your visit until more snow comes, as we want people to have positive experiences when they visit!

Looking to move up from early season flat land skiing and wanting to try some hills? Then go to Birch where I found the conditions, both classic and skate, to be very good. It was snowing heavily as I departed so bodes well for weekend skiing here and Pumpkin Creek. Bonus, Birch club membership is now available on Zone4.
