We figured the Pine Falls trails would still be skiable… and we found them much better than skiable! The club had groomed while it was warm, then received some fresh snow and groomed again: the result is deep firm tracks with lovely fresh snow texture. The Entrance Hills and Sunshine Hills are closed off for the season, but the Chalet Hills were great though ungroomed. Everything else was groomed and nice, and there’s lots of snow everywhere except where you cross the snowmobile trail and power line. Needles and branches are blown down in places. We hung out with the groomers and other friendly members around a bonfire in front of the chalet. They’re confident there will be another weekend of good skiing, at the very least.
