Excellent, deep, fresh classic tracks at Pine Falls / Duck Lake today! All the trails are nicely groomed, including all our favourite hilly side trails (Entrance Hills, Chalet Hills, Chalet Loop, Sunshine Hills) that branch off the main, central, flatter loops. The packing on the hill ascents is particularly fantastic: firm enough to fully trust your poles, with enough loose snow left for good herringbone grip, and wide enough that you’re never catching your ski tips in the drifts outside the packed zone. Great ski, well sheltered from the fierce winds today.
