We enjoyed hours of classic skiing today on well tracked trails. The more shaded West Quarry trail was still skiable in mid afternoon, but has debris. The open sections of the Hamars Lake trail were cleaner but the snow was softer. Start early.
Trails were in great shape the last few days everywhere in Riding Mountain Park. However, today at noon snow was starting to soften in exposed sunny areas on the Grey Owl trail. Sandilands trails this afternoon were faster than we expected. Black and gray trails were in great condition. Green, while more used at the N end, was in good shape except for one hill on the NE side. Although we enjoyed skiing yellow, it looks like someone drove there before the most recent snow. It needs grooming.
