    Skate skied around the entire lake yesterday (7-8 km) in about an hour. Met numerous snowshoers and classic skiers along the route.     What about the lake? The snow blew away and hard drifts and soft drifts formed so it is no longer ideal for skate skiing. Any skiing on the lake is now somewhat risky.     • I sometimes put a trail on the lake but often it doesn’t last long because of snowmobile traffic and it also tends to blow in easily.

    The lake has snow on it again after the big melt, and people are doing both classic and skate (and cycling, hockey, snowshoeing) on both the Crescentview side and the Yellowquill side.
