  • Warm weather today; Trails will be fast!. South wind ground drifting yesterday has made some sections a little deep (eg. The Summit) Warm temps and chance of rain today will keep our machines off of the trails until temperatures drop later this afternoon.

Skied at Windsor this afternoon (Saturday) – all trails, classic and skate, freshly groomed & in great condition.
    Thanks grooming team!

  • Despite the cold, all trails have been groomed for skate and track set for classic as of Wednesday, Feb 2. Except Black Diamond Express and Big Dog. Lessons have been cancelled, however. Weekend and next week look GREAT!!

Last grooming date reported by the province was Monday, Jan 24th. Conditions Wednesday evening were calm and mild at -2C. Glide was excellent. There had been some new snow on the trails but of no concern. Significant drifting on Elm between km 1.5 and 2.0 soon after the cabin had formed some “rollers” that will be challenging for the groomer…[Read more]

Skied from 7-10pm, and almost didn’t get a parking spot, it was a full house tonight. As Kevin reports, classic was fast, icy in spots to the point I re-applied kick wax on the trail. Skating in certain places was fast, others slow. Counted about eight white tail deer, they looked fat and happy.

From Andy Dwilow on Wednesday evening:
Skate skied today. Still cold slow snow but grooming impeccable and classic track looked great. Thanks to Jim and crew.

Does anyone know if Roblin has been cleared to get to the park yet?

    • It was clear Wednesday evening. There are some significant snow banks and a couple of narrower areas along Roblin. It looks like those points may be cleared further at some point.

  • As of 9am Saturday, most trails have been groomed and trackset after yesterday’s high winds. All set for a great weekend of out door, fresh air activity. Come ski!

We took the window of opportunity to ski the Green Loop a couple of times this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with no wind and freshly fallen snow; we were 15 minutes slower as we had to brake trail in some spots, and climb over a few drifts, but it was so worth it. Once again it was an absolutely gorgeous afternoon for a ski at the Windsor Park Nordic Centre!

Great ski under calm conditions and moonlight last night. Snow drifting along the driveway in, and a large snow ridge left on Roblin left by snow-clearing equipment had to be shovelled. Basswood wasn’t groomed as of then, but that could soon change. MB parks has a new map for Beaudry updated Jan 2022, but some of their links still show a…[Read more]

  • All trails at Windsor Park have been groomed for classic and skate as of Wednesday afternoon. With the exception of Brent Sloop Black diamond express and big dog. All the teaching grades will be completed on Thursday along with the rest of the trails.

  • Fresh snow, high winds tonight. The nordic center will be closed this evening. Grooming will comence Wednesday morning.

  • Saturdays great trails were refreshed after the high winds overnight. Sunday trails were once again in great shape including all of the skiing grids – trust that Charleswood hill-n-skill had a great day today. Looking forward to the next snow event forecast for Tuesday. Fresh snow makes everyone happy!

    • Amazing ski conditions, thank you!! Kids can’t get enough of the new additions at the race course, not to mention black diamond express and (coach) Murray’s maze.

  • -5C yesterday evening and the groomed trails were more than amazing! Was nice to see lots of people out at the nordic centre night skiing. Lots of deer gathered over on Brent’s loop. It seemed as though everyone from kids to families to couples to biathletes and groups of people together were skiing and enjoying the nice weather. Nothing short…[Read more]

  • Trails were groomed again today. Hopefully winds won’t cause too much drifting. Work continues on the SKIPLAY area. Hope to get the trails all fine-tuned for the warmer weather forecast for later this week.

  • All trails have been groomed for skate and classic as of 4PM today. Main Grid has also been groomed and trackset. Happy Skiing!!

  • All skate lanes were all groomed / refreshed on January 2. Including Jimmy’s Dip and Gord’s Grind. Coyote & Blue Oval grids were set. Games area was groomed along with skate lane around the main grid. Prep work is being done on “BIG DOG” (experts only) and the new Jackrabbit Play area. Great to have all of this fresh snow to work with!!

Skied Wild Grape, Elm, Basswood and Cottonwood. All groomed and in good shape. No grooming left on first part of Cottonwood but once you get to the field, which isn’t far, the grooming reappears.
