Cranberry Portage continues to enjoy excellent ski conditions combined with mild temperatures. This is not usually the case at this time of year. The Athapap South trail was groomed for classic yesterday and is receiving lots of traffic [skier type traffic] including some from out of town. Everyone is welcome.
The Athapap North trail is less busy so the tracks are still holding up from last week . It will receive a do over this weekend. If the trail becomes icy due to above 0 temps , skiers are advised to avoid the Yellow loop and stick to the Orange trail with Bypasses around the Caution hills. The Orange will not be a challenge to anyone with intermediate
level skills.
