Great, thanks Brent! This is great there is an online donation page available now.
A couple ideas to make this easier to get to the donation page:
– could we get the donation link posted on the Wildwood updates page here on CCSAM? It just has the paper form right now
– maybe we could get the donation page link to also be posted on the Wildwood…[Read more]-
Hi Caroline, I sent a request to the administrator to add the QR code to our page. I tried to add it to my profile but the pictures don’t seem to work well on this site.
We will be in touch with the city to forecast damage to the trails for next season. We can fix them up easily with our equipment.
Text or email to notify us of deteriorates t…[Read more]

Post ski report – Trails have been blown in in open areas by the strong winds we had today. All sections in the trees are still in good condition.

I just finished a ski here today, for my first time. Lovely place, I’ll have to come back sometime.
The classic trails were shallow for most of the trail and entirely blown in on other spots. There was a place near the north side the the classic trails were lost and so I started skate skiing- that seemed to work very well there with the well…[Read more] -

I was at BHP Fri. 3:30-4:30. You may be bucking a 40-60 km headwind heading up the hill to the tower but the skiff of fresh snow has covered a lot of the debris. Some new stuff coming down but a net reduction in debris. There’s about 1 cm of new snow in the tracks with a little more in open areas.
It looks like a great weekend to hit the trails…[Read more] -

Wildwood suffered a little from the wind, but is still good as of Wednesday evening. Some drifting in open areas, and a good bit of leaves, but classic was good and skate looked good as well.

Today I skied most of the classic trails and everything is groomed and excellent condition. I stand corrected on my previous post. I must have got out skiing before grooming was complete. My apologies if this caused any confusion. Now if we can only get the local deer population to eat all the debris on the ski trails. 🙂

Weds. 08:30 -7c. Did west Bluestem and west Esker.Glide and kick were great. There was a lot of debris but still good stretches. The worst debris was around the cone bearing trees. The stretch of Chickadee from the lot to the tower was awful and will avoid until more snow or a groom.

Anita & I were also at BHP this morning. Her review of the classic trails is similar to Eric’s, but she actually fell twice on Aspen when tree debris stopped one ski abruptly. I was skate skiing the Group Use Road on perfect firm corduroy littered with tree debris in some places — especially on the interior bays, with a few stretches of…[Read more]

We repaired the damaged trail near the first hole tee box yesterday. I also laid some snow across North drive to access hole #8 as the road was ploughed down to the pavement. Enjoy the trails and please consider making a tax deductible donation so we can make the trails better next year. Hopefully we will have enough funds to make a double classic track.

First time posting, so I hope it works.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, I was skiing back Aspen to Chickadee, about 2:00 PM when I came across a group of indigenous people, about eight, walking on the ski trails. One was waving a stick with feathers attached, I asked them had they not seen the sign about walking on ski trails, and that…[Read more] -

We skied Bluestem, Chickadee, esker and Lime Kiln this morning. Both Chickadee and Bluestem are freshly groomed and nice and fast. Although Esker and Lime Kiln are in good condition they sure could use a fresh grooming. The wind was not much of a factor. Overall, a great day.

So, I arrived at the stables parking lot around noon Mar13, and skied Asp around the loop, Chick to the lookout, Esk hill, Chick loop , and via Esk, the Kiln loop back to the lot.
The Esk and Kiln have Not been freshly groomed: these trails (groomed Mar10) have had the 1-2 inches of Mar 11 snow skied in and are in magnificent shape with, in my…[Read more] -
