Very good conditions at the park today. -17 and sunny. Skied Bluestem, Chickadee, and Spruce.
Bluestem and Chickadee are in great condition. The left-side tracks have a cm or so of powder that hasn’t been skied in, but the right tracks are well skied in. Green wax was mostly satisfactory, although at times I wondered if blue wax would have been better – a bit slippery in places. Tracks remain in good condition in open areas.
Spruce looks to have been groomed today or very recently. Fresh corduroy snow greeted me that had not yet been skied in. Predictably slow skating due to the temperature, and a little soft in places, but should be fantastic in a couple of days as the temps get a little more mild. There are a few patches that have some turned up fine gravel, but these spots aren’t too difficult to avoid.
Group Use Road looked to be in good condition also, though not fresh corduroy like Spruce. Looked to be about 1cm of snow sitting on top of the trail.
