Skated the group use road and classic skied lime kiln and esker today. -4 on arrival this morning, -12 when I left.
The group use road is nicely packed. I suspect it has been groomed more recently than the Park’s last update suggests (Dec 18) as there was evidence of hard corduroy in some sections and it was well packed. Much better condition than my last visit there Dec 28. Some debris, but good condition overall.
Lime kiln and esker were both as you’d expect: tracks occasionally thin, debris on the tracks not uncommon, but overall good condition. Tracks remain firm and fast. Lime kiln is a touch blown in in the usual open areas. Still a pleasure to ski.
The building with the bathrooms at the stables was locked and had an “out of order” sign on it due to “no water,” in case that affects anyone’s plans. No indication how long it will be closed.
