Monday afternoon we classic skied west Bluestem in a clockwise direction, and were delighted with the trail conditions. Better than expected! Other than some twigs, there is good snow cover, and the tracks are decent, thanks to the first skiers!. A beautiful day to be out with the deer and Chickadees.

Friday morning – overcast with frosty trees…so pretty! Bluestem was firm, fast and a bit icy when starting out from the ranch, but softening and slower on the return, with the sun appearing. Lime Kiln early Monday afternoon – double tracks were wide and a bit sloppy with all the recent skiers that had been on it. Despite the lack of grooming, we had good glide and it was a beautiful day to be outside. Once again those cursed snowmobilers had crossed the trail in several places.

Monday afternoon we skied Lime Kiln. The weekend skiers did a fine job of setting tracks in the new snow, and conditions were good.

Skied Bluestem this morning, and it was in even better shape than Wednesday. They regroomed the south section that had been blown in…thanks to park staff for doing that! Many smiling skiers coming off the trails, including ourselves.

Great conditions on Bluestem Wednesday afternoon; although the south section from Chickadee to the stables was very blown in and drifted, so we hopped over to return on Aspen. Lots of deer and skiers enjoying the milder day.

Classic skied GB on Monday and agree with Andy’s report. Just want to add that the Beaver Pond trail is only groomed up to the north warming hut (which is closed due to covid), where the groomer made a loop around the hut and went back the way he came.

Fabulous classic ski on the Red trail today! With about an inch of sparkly new snow from yesterday, the skate deck looked soft, but a few classic skiers had skied ahead of us, making it the best ski of the season. Monday at lunchtime we skied Esker and north Chickadee. With at least 3″ of new snow, it was slow and a bit sloppy, but well skied in. There were several young skiers on today’s trails and plenty of families out enjoying the sleigh rides. About an inch of snow fell while we skied, and it was still coming down when we left at 1:00ish.

Thursday early afternoon we skied west Bluestem, most of Chickadee and the west half of Esker. There is nearly 3″ of soft fluffy new snow (thanks Santa for the early gift!), but all classic tracks had been skied in. A bit slow, but very enjoyable on a beautiful day. Esker had seen the most traffic

Sunday 2-4pm, we skied most of Aspen, Chickadee and Esker. This morning’s snow has covered most of the debris, and the classic tracks are well skied in, but soft. We didn’t see any film crews at the stables today, but it was very busy with sleigh ride groups.

Monday at lunchtime we skied Bluestem from the stables. Bluestem had a lot of debris, especially in the areas with aspen/poplar/evergreen trees. The parking lot was a busy place with film crews shooting a movie; however it was nice and quiet on the trail.

Thursday at noonish we skied Lime Kiln. It was similar to spring conditions, with thin sections from yesterday’s melt. It was icy, firm and fast; but skiable if you don’t mind hopping out of the tracks often to avoid debris, grass, rocks and churned up mud. We skied Bluestem early Tuesday afternoon. The tracks are sloppy from so much use, especially on corners and hills, but it’s still very good skiing. Let’s all do the snow dance, and hope for no rain!

Thanks to the groomer for the excellent fresh grooming on Spruce. Conditions were optimal for skijoring with my dog Friday morning.

Saturday morning – had a fabulous ski on Lime Kiln and Esker…conditions are very good, even though the trails are well-used….busy place!! Thanks to Park Staff for the extra signage at park gates and trailheads telling hikers which trails are designated for walking. We only saw one hiker, but she kept off the ski tracks.
