Windsor Park Nordic Centre is maintained and operated by the Cross Country Ski Association of Manitoba (CCSAM). The Windsor Park golf course and clubhouse, located at 10 rue Des Meurons in St. Vital, becomes a nordic ski facility from Dec to Mar each year.
We have 8km of trails for classic and skate skiing. All areas (except for Graveyard loop) are lit for night skiing. Lights are on until 10:00 PM daily. Trails are groomed regularly, usually in the mornings, sometimes daily. Unless conditions dictate otherwise.
Please allow several hours after a significant snowfall for trails to be groomed and the tracks to “set up”. Expect trails to close temporarily while grooming is in process.
Please purchase a trail pass – day or season – on our website: http://www.windsorparknordic.ca
CLUBHOUSE IS CLOSED during Code Red. Please find out more about our Covid Scenario Plan on our website: http://windsorparknordic.ca/covid-19
Please maintain a 2 m distance between yourself and others at all times – on trail and in the parking lot. Everyone must follow current public health guidelines: https://www.gov.mb.ca/covid19/restartmb/prs/index.html.

The warm temperatures have taken a significant toll on the ski trails. Sunday will be the last “official” day of the Windsor Park ski season. Access to the trails will remain, however, for anyone wishing to continue skiing. Thank you to everyone for making this past season so wonderful. See you next season!

Trails were icy until about 10:AM Then a nice soft top layer, great for skating until about 1PM. a bit mushy midday until the sun went down when things got fast again. Skiers can expect similar on Saturday after the -5C overnight low. Trails are continuing to hold up well: thin in exposed sunny…[Read more]

Just skated tonite, still really good.. little icey in spots, getting wavey on the blue loop as the snow is thinning… grass patches to watch for at pump house, graveyard loop, and a patch of grass on the skate lane along archibald about 50 yard before the 2nd dip… Id start watching for cart path gravel to start poking through shortly…[Read more]

WARM WEATHER FORECAST may be hard on the trails this week. There are no plans to close this week, as this could be the last few days of the season at the center (we hope not!). The anticipated freezing each night will help a great deal in keeping the snowcover as long as possible.

Very good conditions at Windsor today. Skied the Blue only. Skate freshly groomed. The few thin spots I saw were easily avoided. Classic looks to be in good shape too. Black diamond, river loops, and Jimmy’s Dip were hard packed, but had enough snow to feel safe.

All trails groomed on Friday night. 3 cms of fresh snow has made a world of difference to the ski trails. Great looking corduroy on the skate trails. Expectations are that trails will be in great shape until, at least, early next week!

Jim has packed all the fresh fallen snow. He’s set tracks on the practice grid and is waiting for this very strong wind to calm down before setting tracks everywhere else – sometime tomorrow.

Do the trails at Windsor Park have markers so you know where to go?
-
Yes. There are lots of signs and maps all over the course. Refer to the big map near the clubhouse when you start, to plan your ski. You’ll see smaller versions of it around the course as well.
The map is posted here and on our website too.-
With lots of new skiers out, and of course the pandemic, I think Windsor would benefit from more one-way signage. For example where people climb up from the Wood Bridge. Lots of skiers take off from there and head “upstream”. Other than that there’s lots of new signs and the course is always in good shape! Thanks Windsor!
