The Wildwood trails are groomed for classic and skate. In recent years walking trails have been added to encourage physical activity in a variety of ways, and signage was added.
Starting points:
– The corner of the Wildewood Golf Course (North Drive at Netley), with a good parking area next to the Tennis Club.
– The corner of Netley and Oakenwald, with some on street parking at Netley and Oakenwald.
– The corner of Oakenwald and North Drive, close to the Wildwood Park Community Centre, with on street parking.

Nicely skier tracked for classic and pretty fast this morning. Very pleased that walkers have their own pathways and the skier track is mostly free of footprints. Great place for an in-town ski!

It was a brilliant ski today, my first time at Wildwood. I am told that the skier groomed trails do not follow the usual routes, but I did not get lost. Good times, and the snow was fine!

The classic trails are really soft and pole plants can sink up to 18″ in sunny spots. Water is accumulating in low areas but not a problem yet. Need the temps to drop below 0 at night.

The City of Winnipeg Forestry Branch has indicated they will be working to remove DED trees on the Wildwood Trails. They expect to be active starting today or tomorrow for about a week. Ploughing is typically done to allow vehicles in. When complete we will try to rehabilitate the tracks as best we can to, hopefully, be able to enjoy some…[Read more]

Wildwood trails were groomed yesterday. Today’s ski featured fresh snow, classic tracks skied in and milder temperatures. Skate was soft with a good vase for pole plant. Thanks to Laurie and the crew.

Trails in excellent shape this afternoon–I would guess the skating is still soft but the classic tracks were in great condition.

I am curious, does anyone know the lengths of the loops at Wildwood Golf Course?
