Mt. Evergreen is a cross country and downhill ski area in Kenora, ON. There is a spacious, full service chalet that is run entirely by volunteers. Kenora Nordic Ski & Biathlon Club (KNBC) takes care of the nordic side of operations and is a member club with CCSAM.
Conditions today (Saturday) at Mount Evergreen continue to be excellent for skate (groomed on Friday) and very good for classic which has moderate rock hard tracks on the front 5.5 km of trails. Always excellent grooming at Mount Evergreen with Kenora Nordic. We classic skied all trails today with light snow on the tracks. There is considerably more snow out here than in Winnipeg with snow blanketing the trees. Most skiers were classic skiing and all trails are in excellent condition. Very firm for skating too. Nordic skied at Mt. Evergreen sat. Dec. 9th. Snow cover is amazing. All trails have been packed beautifully and the four main trails were tracked for classic and skate.
