    From Al Stewart:
I ski skated Falcon Ridge today and all the trails except on High Lake (slush) were in fabulous shape for both skating and classic. If you get a chance to ski there before the melt you will not find a more beautiful and impeccably groomed trail system. And wow is there snow out there!

My friend says that most of the trail system at Falcon Ridge was in great shape last weekend (Jan 5 & 6), the exception being the marshy area east end of biathlon area, and the portages on High Lake. He skied both days, classic and skating. Beautifully groomed for skating, fine for classic.

Skied yesterday from the chalet towards High Lake along trail #1,3 &4. Turned around just after #4 splits from #3. Lots of grass and branches sticking through #4, ahead looked like it was getting worse as it entered the marshy area. Trails had been groomed for skate and track set. Skating on #3 looked decent.
