For 2020-2021, a group of North St Boniface residents contracted CCSAM to groom a ~2K classic track in Whittier Park.

Went out Jan.27th to Kildonan Golf Course. Parking lot was freshly cleared but the pushed a lot of that snow into the entrance of the course. You had to walk over all the hard packed clumps of snow. Not a very good idea, was some what dangerous for walking to the trail.
Trails had not been groomed for some time. There was lots of drifting and…[Read more] -

Did the Transcona Nordic Loop Sunday afternoon. Groomed trail is visible for about 80% of the loops and we balled the other areas for everyone!

I went to Harbour View on Wednesday. The trails were groomed but much of it was iced-over because of the wind. Some grass showing through on parts of the trail. Not the best skiing experience. I will go to Birds Hill Park tomorrow

I stopped in at harbour view, the groomer was just starting to groom the trail. So I am thinking some of the city park trails have been done today. -

Exceptional grooming at Kildonan Park today! Slowish conditions to say the least with the frigid temps out there. Fun ski though.

Decided to try out Kildonan Park this morning for a quick ride and found myself doing close to 10km in the cold weather as I couldn’t believe how well groomed the trail was in the golf course! Some of the best classic skiing this year even as of yet considering the somewhat slower conditions because of the cold weather. I was surprised to get…[Read more]

I live near Kildonan Park and found that they have just packed and tracked all city parks as stated on the winnipeg.ca website. KP certainly is. I tried my bet at it. After 1 lap around the park, I packed it in. Kudos to the Parks staff for tracking the parks for skiing, there’s no doubt about that, but with the lack of snow in there, I guess…[Read more]
