Camp Morton Provincial Park

  • Skate great and classic passable in soft spring corn snow on the west side trails. Some medium sized bare patches to dodge, but nothing to portage just yet.

  • Icy trails on the east side going up towards Steeple view trail, and of course, really fast conditions. I’m a little late posting this, as I was up there on Sunday.   • Skate skied the west trails in Camp Morton out in Gimli today! Quite a bit of falling snow and definitely a workout moving through their 5+ km trail but snow was fast considering the amount to ski through.   • Classic skied all of the trails today. All trails were groomed but the east side trails have seen quite a bit of foot traffic. The west side trails were also groomed for skate and the foot traffic was almost non-existent. Lots of snow and no crowds relative to Winnipeg . Worth the trip.
