Doreen and Robert Dick Memorial Ski Tour Feb. 18, 2017

On Saturday Feb. 18th the Whiteshell Cross Country Ski Club will hold its annual Doreen and Robert Dick Memorial Ski Tour in support of the ALS Society of Manitoba.

The event will be held at The Pinawa Club with registration at 12:00 pm and tours starting at 12:30 pm. 
Guided tours range from an easy  4.5 k trail for novice skiers, a moderately difficult  8k trail for intermediate skiers, or a difficult 16 k for advanced skiers. All tours include rest spots at heated cabins. 
Participants are encouraged to download a pledge sheet from the Whiteshell Cross Country Ski Club website to collect donations for the ALS Society of Manitoba, or to pledge their own selves. Donations of $20.00 or more will be tax receipted. Bring your own water bottle and snacks. 
 
Following the event skiers and non skiers alike are invited to gather at the Pinawa Club for happy hour and dinner:
 
Happy Hour:   4:00 to 5:00 pm
Dinner :          5:00 to 7:30 pm
The Pinawa Club will serve a special of: 
Lasagna with Caesar Salad and Garlic Toast (or vegetarian version there of) – $17.95 plus tax from which $2.00 for every special sold will be donated to the ALS Society of Manitoba

Pumpkin Creek Mystery Tour Postponed

We have decided to err on the side of caution due to icy sections on the trail system.
We feel we can host a more pleasurable Mystery Tour for our participating skiers on Sunday Feb 12, 2017 with snow forecasted for next week.
Don will not be defeated with “the ongoing ice battle” as he continues to renovate & groom the trails tomorrow for the upcoming weekend.

Sorry to all for the inconvenience, we hope you can adjust your plans to join us Sunday Feb 12, 2017. For those whose plans on the 12th cannot be changed, we shall miss you!
