Act Now to Protect Green Space in City of Winnipeg
On Thursday May 13, 2021, the City of Winnipeg Executive Policy Committee will vote on two 25-year planning documents that enable ad hoc development on natural green space, parks and city owned golf land.
We are concerned with the content of these initiatives and believe they open the door to the erosion of publicly accessible green space in Winnipeg.
If this concerns you as well, we strongly encourage you to take the following actions now:
- Sign the Petition
- Write a Letter – before May 13th – to the Mayor & Councillors asking them to save Winnipeg’s green space from development. A template is provided.
- Register to Speak at the Public Hearing – deadline 2:30 PM May 12th
