Coaches can now start signing up for their 2021-22 Nordiq Canada Coaching License
All coaches coaching for more than 7 hours/year must sign up for the 2021-22 Nordiq Canada Coaching License before starting to coach from July 1st 2021 to June 30th 2022 in order to continue benefiting from Nordiq Canada liability insurance coverage and other benefits.
The Nordiq Canada coaching license is mandatory for all active cross country ski coaches in Canada who are coaching at least 7 hours per year with a registered cross country ski club (with their division). An “active” coach is anyone who performs typical coaching tasks with a registered club, including delivering practices or assisting with delivery of practices, with any age group, for at least 7 hours per year.
Personal information collected is kept private and may only be used for risk management, planning and communication purposes between Nordiq Canada, the coach’s club and division.
The license is renewable on a yearly basis, starting June 15th and effective July 1st of each year.
Nordiq Canada will select 10 final designs and voting will occur via Survey Monkey. The voting period will run from March 12 to March 19, 2021 until 1:00 PM (CST). Please remember that only Nordiq Canada members are eligible to vote!
Announcement of the ‘winning’ toque design will be posted on Nordiq Canada’s Facebook page and website.
Last year we celebrated over $200,000 raised for our annual club fundraiser. This year we’ll Ski Local, Support Local as more Canadians than ever before are heading to their local ski trails to experience the welcoming nature of cross-country skiing.
The goal of this year’s campaign is to raise $250,000 in support of cross-country skiing across Canada by the close of March 19, 2021.
95% of funds raised by clubs will go back to their local projects.
