Wednesday Night Series Results

About the Results

The Wednesday Night Race Series awards will be presented at the CCSAM Awards Banquet in April. The skier with the most points in each age/gender category will receive an award.

For each race, points are awarded. The skier with the fastest time receives 100 points. Other skiers receive points based on the fastest time and their time. The formula is: (fastest time / your time) x 100. For example: if the fastest time was 10:00, and your time was 20:00, you would receive (10:00 /20:00) x 100 = 50 points.

A skier must finish a minimum of 5 races to be eligible for a race series standing.

  • For the Relays, a skier’s participation will be added to their total number of races, but points are not awarded.
  • For the Skiathlons, Junior Boy/Girl & older skiers who choose to do the shorter course (or Juvenile & younger skiers who choose to do the longer course) will have their participation added to their total number of races, but points will not be awarded.
  • For the Atom, Pee Wee, and Mini Midget categories, points are based on the ~2K course. Kids who opt to ski the 5K course will have their participation added to their total number of races, but points will not be awarded.

A skier’s race series point total is the sum of their:

  • 5 best race points if there are only 5, 6, or 7 races in the series, or
  • 6 best race points if there are 8 or 9 races in the series, or
  • 7 best race points if there are 10 or 11 races in the series, or
  • 8 best race points if there are 12 or 13 races in the series.
