School Ski programs gives teachers, students, and parents the opportunity to become involved in cross country skiing through their school. Teachers are welcome to contact the CCSAM office for information on how to to start a cross country ski program in their school.
In Winnipeg, the Windsor Park Nordic Centre offers discounted rates for school groups. Chalet, equipment & instructors are available to book during the school day. Contact windsorpark@ccsam.ca for more information and to book your school group this winter!

Jeff has been working with St. James/Assiniboine & Pembina Trails school divisions in Winnipeg and together have established a very successful program. Jeff can arrange school yard trail grooming, equipment use and Phys Ed teacher in-services to help your school establish its very own cross country ski curriculum!
The Chris McCubbins School Ski program
The School Ski Participation Race Series consists of 3 or 4 events held in January and February in conjunction with the Wednesday Night Race Series at the Windsor Park Nordic Centre. School Ski skiers participate in the 5K or 2K Wednesday Night Race. All School Ski races are heavily biased towards participation.
Ski-at-School is a Nordiq Canada program, sponsored by AltaGas, which aims to bring cross-country skiing to schools and clubs across Canada in the hopes of converting them into long-term skiers. This program is intended to directly connect divisions to schools and clubs by assisting in furthering program development and expansion.
If your school is interested in applying for funding, please the CCSAM Office, as the application must be submitted by CCSAM.
