School Ski programs gives teachers, students, and parents the opportunity to become involved in cross country skiing through their school. Teachers are welcome to contact the CCSAM office for information on how to to start a cross country ski program in their school.

Jeff has been working with St. James/Assiniboine & Pembina Trails school divisions in Winnipeg and together have established a very successful program. Jeff can arrange school yard trail grooming, equipment use and Phys Ed teacher in-services to help your school establish its very own cross country ski curriculum!

The School Ski Participation Race Series consists of 3 or 4 events held in January and February in conjunction with the Wednesday Night Race Series at the Windsor Park Nordic Centre. School Ski skiers participate in the 5K or 2K Wednesday Night Race. All School Ski races are heavily biased towards participation.
The Central Region has an active School Ski program that takes place at Ski Birch near Roseisle (Doug Keith, 204-828-3586). Check with your Sport Manitoba Regional Manager to find out if there is a school ski program in your region.
